How this index works
What appears here
Only cards in a PSA, BGS, BVG, SGC or CGC holder. A raw card is excluded because its condition is nobody’s assessment but the seller’s, and a price for it is not comparable with a graded one.
What this index will not tell you
Whether a card deserves the grade on its holder. That judgement belongs to the grading company, and a listing photograph cannot support a second opinion. This site reports the grade that was assigned and stops there.
A qualifier makes it a different card
PSA adds a qualifier when a card fails the standard in one specific way: OC off-centre, MC miscut, PD print defect, ST stain, MK marks. A PSA 9 OC is not a PSA 9 at a discount, it is a different product, and the market prices it far lower. This index gives each qualifier its own page rather than letting a qualified card set the floor for an unqualified one.
Asking prices and sales
An asking price is what a seller hopes for. A confirmed sale is recorded only after a listing verifiably ends, at the price eBay reports. Where a best offer was accepted the true figure is not published, so those appear as a ceiling rather than a number this index does not have.
What is not a card
A sealed wax pack is not the card it might contain, however confidently the listing names one. Packs, boxes, lots, reprints, stickers, parallels, inserts and autographed cards are all excluded, and a listing sold on what it MIGHT hold is excluded whatever it names.
Where a card number is missing
Plenty of honest listings never state one. Where a season and set hold exactly one tracked card the number is filled in; where they hold several the listing cannot be placed and is left out rather than guessed at.
