# EarlyCardIndex

> Graded prices for the first three seasons of a small group of major
> players, base cards only, from the flagship set of each season.

Every card has its own page for every grade it has been found in.
Reprints, parallels, inserts, stickers and autographed cards are
excluded. Only cards in a PSA, BGS, SGC or CGC holder are tracked,
because a raw card's price depends on condition nobody has
independently assessed.

Where a player appears on several cards in one season, a base card, a
leaders card, a record breaker, each has its own page. The site does not
rule on what counts as a rookie card; it says which card it is showing.

## What this index cannot see

- eBay returns at most 1,000 results for any search, however deep the
  paging goes.
- A fixed-price listing has no end date, so this index learns one has
  gone by ceasing to find it rather than by watching it close. Where a
  listing has not been seen for two days the page marks it.
- eBay never publishes what an accepted best offer actually paid, so
  those sales are shown as a ceiling rather than as a price.
- Where a season and set hold several of a player's cards and a listing
  states no card number, it cannot be placed and is left out rather
  than guessed at.
